Samsung is adding a new device to its Genio line up this April. The Samsung C3510 first debuted in India under the name Corby Pop. As many of you may already know the Corby series is known locally in the UK as the Genio. So far, three of the first Corby phones have made it into their Genio incarnations, the Pro, Touch and QWERTY. Newer Corby devices such as the Lindy, Slide and Fold have been reported to be heading to the UK as well though no official date has been given. Leading the next generation of Genio devices is the uniquely named Samsung C3510 Genoa.
Delivering a finger-friendly interface with plenty of focus on easy controls, multimedia playback and its multiple instant messengers, the Genoa promises to provide hours of practical fun and usability.
The Personal Phone
Getting the controls right on a touch screen phone can be tough, but Samsung’s design innovation pulls through with the custom user interface for the Genoa. The phone’s main screen is actually three separate screens that you can flip left and right. The selectable home screen panels have different layouts and display varying information.
Users simply need to choose the screen that has the information they prefer to see the most. Accessing the rest of the phone’s features is simply thanks to the well design menu. Sliding, tapping and finger based commands are easy to execute and the screens delivers instant feedback making the action transition a smooth and gratifying experience.
Helping make this phone even more customizable are the selectable themes which allow you to see the visual mood of the device and of course, the widgets. Widget contents are completely user determined allowing you to place all the info you need in a series of widgets for easy access. Even applications can be placed inside the gadgets.
